In terms of "compatibility", it definitely is compatible with DVD recorders - no problem there. My only (slight) caveat is that with my HP Lightscribe notebook, which I use to label DVD's after I've recorded them directly from my DVR, even with very latest drivers downloaded and installed, the HP Lightscribe software does not recognize this as Lightscribe. But when I go ahead and click on "Print" rather than "cancel" in the error message, it prints just fine. Maybe that's rare, but that's my experience. Just a slight annoyance, a constant error message and one quick extra step (of ignoring the message). The disks are durable, reliable and include a nice range of pastel and light colors for versatile use with the black & white etchings of Lightscribe. Great for color-coding sets, and much better than some other brands' colored DVD packs which include black and dark blue and can't be written on or read. Good product, a bit pricey perhaps, but good quality and selection.
