I use Taiyo Yuden DVD +R single-layer blank discs and have found them to be very reliable. Unfortunately, Taiyo Yuden apparently does not offer double-layer discs. However, I have had very good experience with the Verbatim discs and they are the only brand of DLs that I will use.

The best! IMHO

I used to buy a number of different brands of dual layer dvd's and I used to have a number of bad discs from a number of different manufacturers, sometimes as high as 15 to 20%. During this period one thing began to make itself clear to me, Verbatim discs were not experiencing the same failure rate of the others. In fact of all the several thousand Verbatim discs I have burned over the years I don't think I have had more than 5 to 10 bad ones if even that. I mean failures happen so rarely that I can't really remember the last time it happened. Do yourself a favor, spend a few bucks more and get something that works.
