Have been using these for several years. After over 2000 purchased, still not a single bad burn. Have tried many other brands, including the R- version of these disks: all have produced some level of flawed recording (5 to 30 % bad disks). I have used multiple burners over this time. Hard to understand why anyone would have a problem tracable to the disks. Would consider the 16x version but have seen some bad reviews,so I stick with what works.

TY have been great in the past. When your burn is good, it is great. When it's bad it's over the top for a coaster. Very inconstant anymore.

I have made over 10 backup discs with these so far without a glitch, and using an Epson Inkjet printer to make disc covers really adds a professional touch.

I purchased 200 of these 8Xs on sale. I didn't mind paying a premium price for them, but out of the first 100 discs I lost about 35%. I was using the DVD&R 16X and had no problems. Then I started using these 8Xs and that is when I started having all the problems. These 8X Taiyo Yudens are really bad.
