I use Taiyo-Yuden DVD-R media duplicating a weekly live music variety show. Each show uses 2 disks; averaging 10-25 sets per week. I've been duplicating to DVD for 4 years, using Taiyo-Yuden for 3 years. (Both 8x & 16x; I prefer the 8x premium line.) I use the inkjet printable type for adding disk label information. I've had one disk defect returned in that time; no defects in duplication. I've used other brands of media, including the 'name brands' available through 'Major Big Box Retailers'. When using these disks, the defects from duplicating was at least 10%. Customer dissatisfaction and returns was another 10%. While these disks are inexpensive when on sale, the poorer quality and customer dissatisfaction costs more. Comparing Taiyo-Yuden with other 'professional' media, the pricing is very similar, but the quality is not. When duplicating for customers, quality and consistency is paramount. I rate this media brand as the best. I never have to worry about returns or quality control. One note: When attempting 1x live recording, the disks are inconsistant, and generally fail. These are designed for high speed duplicating, and as such are the best.

Epilogue Records burns all commercial CDs and DVDs on Tayio Yuden media. This media has no dropouts, burns quickly without errors, yields the highest audio and video performance and lasts for years. We tried others' media but their performance is unacceptable to us. We do not want unhappy customers nor CD Albums returned to us due to errors on the disc. With Tayio Yuden there are no errors.
