Pros: Durable, High-Quality, Reliable
Best Uses: Archiving, Back Up
Describe Yourself: Practical, Demands reliability, Tech Savvy

Have been using Sony Backup tapes for about 9 years with no problems. When there has been a problem, it has been the drive and not the tapes. With the costs of hard drives coming down, it's harder to justify using tapes these days, given the cost per gigabyte. However, tape is ideal for archiving stable data in a compact form factor, and it's good to have a backup of your data and your os/apps that's 6 months old or older in case you need to roll back that far.
