The TowerRAID TR4X-B is an 4-bay SAS/SATA storage enclosures for high performance storage need. TR4X-B support both SAS and SATA drives, allowing user to choose between high performance SAS drive or high capacity SATA drives. Using build-in 1 * SFF-8088 mini-SAS port, TR4X-B can easily connect to SAS/SATA Host Bus Adapter or RAID controller card, such as Areca, 3ware, LSI, Intel and Adaptec RAID card to provide RAID or JBOD functions. With built-in ventilating protective screen front panel, TR4X-B unit utilize cable-less backplane-design to support up to four hard drives. Hard drives are installed behind the dust protective cover to provide dust-free operation. Hard drive cooling is provided by a large 4.7" cooling fan located on the back of the units.
