This is my 2nd Ritek CF card for use with a semi-pro Sony DSLR w/12MP shooting in RAW. It may not be up to speed for sports shooters, but for everything else it's just fine. Good for a main CF or as a backups.

This is a follow up on my previous review. As stated before, after 3000 pictures the card died, I have lost my files, and the card was send to ridata to be replaced. That was in october 2008, after more than a month I received nothing, no card, no info, nothing. They said on their website : "It normally takes up to 10 business days in order to examine your return product(s) and send replacement unit(s)"..... I contacted Ridata by email, and this was their reply: Your CF card has been send to oversea for repair or replacement; we will receive any day in this week. Thank you for your patient. Regards, Lynn/RMA RITEK USA Well, I do not care where they send the bad card, the only place it should be is in the dumpster,my care was about me not being able to use a product I have paid for... they send me that "stock answer" because they did nothing to replace my card.Pe5rsonally, I do not believe any functional business will send a memory card out for repairs, the electronic part (chip set) is bonded together with a plastic shell, and is not easy serviceable!! And keep in mind, this products is sold very cheap today, so probably the manufacturer price is few $.... So here I'm ...I bought a Ridata card, use-it 2 months, stop working, and I will wait who knows how many months to received another one , a questionable product I will not really dare to use, because of the bad quality...Is is a bad experience with the product, and a bitter one with the warranty support...To conclude, do not put your memoies, or business on this type of card, it's a risky bet.

I bought this to use in a DSLR and at 8GB it will hold a lot of pictures even capturing raw and JPEG. But it does slow down the capture burst rate a little.
