Quantum DLTtape?III 1/2-inch data cartridges are designed exclusively for use with the DLT 2000, DLT 2000XT, DLT 4000, DLT 7000, and DLT 8000 tape drives, as well as DLT autoloaders and libraries with these drives inside.

They are made of metal particle formulation for high durability, and therefore can withstand 500,000 passes MTBF. These cartridges have an archival storage life of 20 years.
