this unit needs the metal shroud on the end, without it the unit has a loose fit and makes the port not detect it...dont use this on fta boxes it is a waste

Very very slow to copy a large number of files. Much slower than the PNY 2GB hard flash drive that I was going to replace this with. The cap kept falling off. In my car, in the office, in parking lots. Finally it got lost. I'm not too happy with the bare connectors at the end of the drive jostling around in my pocket with my keys. I'm guessing the drive won't be working much longer.
