I have used this tape exclusively for over two years now. I've yet to experience even one drop out! Using Canon XL-2's, we have three. We also use the AYDVM63MQ for masters and important back-up. also great quality and no problems.

These tapes have a great rep, so when I bought my new X1 A1 I thought these would be a great purchase. We've all heard about not swapping brands, so it's in some ways a big decision. I've now used 10 of these tapes exclusively in my new camera, and I had a surprising 3 drop outs in the first 10 hours of recording! I would consider that very poor performance, especially since in the last 10 years with other cameras and cheaper tapes, I doubt I had more than 3 drop outs total! Of course it's POSSIBLE it's my new camera, and not the tape. But for now, I'm hesitant to use these much longer.
