I installed it on my XPx64 dual Opteron system and had zero problems with installation and use. Have had it for less than 1 month so I cannot comment on reliability issues. But so far, no problems whatsoever.

I installed it in a Dell Precision 690 that I use as an Avid video editing suite. Avid has only qualified nVidia Quadro cards for PC's, although it works with GeForce on Mac's. So what I don't and won't get is the hi-def player function--which is not cool because I'm an HD-DVD sore loser who is still resisting buying a Blu-ray set top box to see the Blu-ray videos I need to burn on this. It is super fast, but about an inch longer/deeper than a standard DVD drive, so take a peek inside your chassis and see if you've got room.
