Constantly fights for compatibility with MP990

I am absolutely pulling my hair out with this product. I ordered 3 of them after purchasing a Canon MP990, and none of them give a consistent performance. When the printer actually accepts the cartridge, the print results are great! I have to give it that. But 90% of the time, a print job is sent to the printer, and it gives an error message saying that the "ink tank cannot be recognized." I had used these third party carts for my MP600 several years back and never had this frustration. It should be noted that the packaging that I received for these items only specifically stated compatibility with the MP980.
