Don't use remanufactured 02 Ink in your HP

I purchased this combo of remanifactured HP 02 inks on 5/18/10. I had NEVER used anything other than original HP inks in my beautiful printer. Although my daughter had used remanufactured inks in her lower quality photosmart C4100 series for several years with no problems. The SECOND I installed this cartridge, my printer malfunctioned & was permanently ruined. I had to return it to HP, and order their top of the line HP Photosmart Premium, which is nothing but an ink guzzler and uses their extremely expensive 564 inks, which run out in the blink of an eye. Unfortunately HP no longer makes any printers that use this wonderful 02 ink system, which I never had a problem with. Don't ever use this remanufactured version in your 02 HP printer or you will be sorry. Learned the hard way. And am now afraid to try anything remanufactured, even in my ink guzzler.

Great response from vendor, unreliable product

Well, I gave a mediocre review for the other two orders of this item, and since I can't seem to edit them, I'll give my updates on this one. I have used these remanufactured cartridges before with no problems, so I ordered again. The first black cartridge when installed in my printer caused the printer to stop recognizing all of the other cartridges. After reading my negative review, SuperMediaStore actually called me to let me know they were sending a replacement free of charge, and without returning the bad one.

I was very impressed. Meanwhile, I replaced the black cartridge with another one I had on hand. The print quality was poor at first. Then it became gradually worse, until it would not print in black at all, even though I cleaned and aligned the printer heads several times.

The replacement arrived, but when I installed it, I still couldn't get it to print in black, even after cleaning and aligning the print heads. It was clearly a full cartridge, but my printer indicated that it was empty and would only print using the other colors.

Finally, I gave up and bought an actual HP ink cartridge at Best Buy. After installing that one, and aligning and cleaning the print heads, my printer seems to be working again. I can't take any chances with off-brand ink anymore. But I was very impressed with the service I received from SuperMediaStore.com.

Cross my fingers and hope for the best...

I have used these before and only had one faulty cartridge. Because SuperMediaStore won't pay for return shipping, it's not worth it for me to return the defective item. I haven't used any of this newly-received set yet, so I hope there won't be any problems. These cartridges are cheap, but remember that you will accept some degree of risk in using them. If reliability is critical, get the actual HP-made cartridges... but get them somewhere else, because if there is a problem, you'll have to pay to return them to SuperMediaStore.

Excellent ink cartridges for my HP 8250

I have to admit that I was somewhat hesitant to order remanufactured ink cartridges but the price was so good that I decided to try them. The price of these HP cartridges from most retailers including the club stores is quite high and so when I saw them on the Supermedia site for remanufactured cartridges at a very affordable price I opted to try them. I've replaced them several times and haven't noticed any difference in using them than when I used original ones. The quality is excellent and I'm able to keep a back-up supply at this price. Delivery was quick and my experience with Supermedia has always been great.

The ink cartridges are fine. I've had no problems with them at all. My printer recognizes the cartridges as being from HP. (some I have used weren't and I couldn't tell how much ink was left). They seem to last as long as the "real" ones, so I will be buying more as they are definetely less expenseive.
