I bought this so I could have the option to connect it via USB or FireWire. The USB works great, but the FireWire connection frequently disconnects. If you search the net for PL-3507 firmware for this enclosure, you'll find it, but it doesn't seem to correct the disconnect issue. VERY FRUSTRAITING!!!

great enclosure. have had no trouble at all. the hard drive was extremely easy to put in and worked great. CON: it comes with a stand to set it up vertically, which i don't want to do, so i unscrewed the stand but there is an led light thing sticking out of the bottom now that i cannot disconnect... it's annoying. that's all though
