The Centurion DiscHub is an optical storage device that uses a robotic media carousel to load and unload optical discs to and from an optical drive. It has a capacity of up to 100 discs in a single device, for a total of 480GB of storage on standard media and up to 1.7 Terabyte (TB) capacity on dual layer media (2:1 data compression). Data stored on optical media is permanent, so you never need to worry about accidental erasures, storage drive failures, or other catastrophes, and it can be accessible almost instantaneously.

Good storage system, but has some minor drawbacks

The unit unpacked and setup in no time at all. The first thing that you will notice, is the noise. This is a very loud machine. There is a "hammer" that makes a solid clanking noise when it is engaged. If you get past the noise, the unit actually works as advertised. The included software works quickly to enter new DVDs as you fill the 100 capacity storage unit. Retrieving the DVDs is just as easy. Once you select a DVD, the noisy machine engages and delivers your DVD through a slot opening. When done with the DVD, just insert it briskly into the slot and the storage unit is ready for the next assignment. It is important to follow the directions to avoid jamming the device.
There is no way to retrieve a DVD without the use of the computer. Unlike its competitor, The Dacal DC101 and newer models, Just dial in the number of the slot where the DVD is stored and the unit delivers that DVD for you.
This unit does a really good job of cataloging and retrieving titles. It gets the job done right, albeit a bit noisy.

One out of the two units I received is DOA . The moment I hooked it up(of course after installation of the driver(s) )I heard the carousel sounded like turning round and round and light inside blinking then I got an error message saying the CCD organiser suffered a hardware error # 00102441 . I tried rebooting several times getting no where. Poor product !
