Great Cases !!

Great cases, the only thing holding these back from being 5 star is the rails. On some of my previous purchased cases the rails sleeve length combination caused the rails to bend downward due to the weight of the discs when the case is full.
Be better design if the rails were an "H" shape instead of a "U" channel, or to "U" channels back to back for more strength !!!!

Great Case, Horrible Sleeves.

I just want to warn anybody who really cherishes their collection that while this may seem like an appealing and functional dvd case, it will compromise your DVDs over time because of the shoddy sleeves that come with it.
Let me start off by saying that the aluminum case is very durable and aesthetically pleasing. The hanging sleeve functionality is very convenient, and this is what appealed to me the most about the case when considering it because I relished the idea of being able to access my favorite dvds more easily when I got an itch. However, this is where the good ends.
The DVD sleeves that come with this case WILL damage your dvds over time and I will tell you why. For one, they seem very cheaply made and abrasive, but looks can be deceiving. Looking at the sleeves(felt), they look and feel no different than any other run of the mill sleeve, or the king of sleeves, the Case Logic Pro Sleeve(tyvek paper). Make no mistake though, they are very abrasive to the data side of a DVD. How do I know? Well, being that I'm not one to just take my whole collection and throw it into any storage case and forget it, I decided to test a sleeve. I took a blank DVD with no blemishes and I began to insert/remove the dvd into/out of a sleeve, and repeated this about 10 times. Lo and behold, there were plenty of surface scratches depicted wherever the dvd made contact with the sleeve, almost what you'd imagine to see on your disc if you took sand paper to it. I went a step further and took a microfiber cloth to the DVD to no avail. Permanent blemishes. What this tells me is that with regular use, these sleeves will ruin your collection, and I know many of you are horrified at the notion of what I just described, which is why I've taken the time to write this. Comparably, do the same thing with a Case Logic Pro Sleeve X 100, and your Dvds will remain in pristine condition, and possibly even give the dvd a buff of sorts. They're that good. Avoid the sleeves with this case at all cost.
To summarize, the case is wonderful. It's very durable and easy on the eyes, but the sleeves will compromise your collection. If you have a huge dvd collection like me, want to protect your collection at all cost, and feel a storage unit like this is your only option, I recommend use the hanging labels with Case Logic Pro Sleeves, and getting rid of the sleeves that come with this system. It will cost more, but it will give you peace of mind. Give the sleeves that came with this system to your sisters for their crafts or what not. While bright & colorful, they certainly will do more harm than good to your dvds over time.
