After 10 years of recording on discs, now I read on the web that you shouldn't use generic marking pens to label them. Well, I haven't had a single disc go bad yet from solvent penetration through the top disc layer. But I do want my discs to last as long as possible, so it's necessary to use pens like these which are designed to be disc-friendly over the long haul. Thanks to [@] for including these pens as a gift, otherwise I'd have to wait to get a new set of pens. [...] Nevertheless, I'm going to try some other brands and see if I can find another brand which writes darker like the generic markers do.
