Finding your CD takes only a single command from your PC, it can also work without a computer. Holds 150 CDs/unit.
CD Manager can be operated manually when not connected to a computer. Great for your DVD collection next to the TV. Standalone works with a management form - supplied - and you simply dial the disk number required and press the button. The disc is made available to you in approx 5 seconds.
Once the CD has been used it can simply be replaced into the slot for further storage. The software also allows you to scan in CD/DVD covers to save within the database and retrieve based on the cover design.
CD Manager comes complete with Power Adapter, USB Cable, CD Rom Driver and Database software, Management Form, User Guide and Security Key. The use of paper labels on CD's is not recommended as the increased thickness may result in the CD sticking.

The software is rudimentary and a little buggy, and, as some people have said, wider recordable DVDs will stick. The solution to this is to remove the CD ring, take a fine model or fingernail file, and file each of the catches for the dvds a little. Then take a flat head screwdriver and loosen up the inner catches adjacent to the larger ones every five spaces. For ease of use, remove the lock, since it tends to catch discs that haven't set properly. Wa-la.

This unit really is great. I was a little hesitant at first to pay $[...] for something to hold CD's and DVD's put it really does pay for itself in the amount of time it saves you in searching for media. I own a media duplication company and this is a great fit for storing my masters. I would recommend this unit to anyone with a large amount of CD's/DVD's.

This device is worth its weight in gold. It works as advertised, although the fit of some DVD-R media is tight in the slots. If you have many discs to catalog, this is a must purchase.

I have developed over 50 dvds and I was fusterated looking for what ever I need. This is a life saver... couldnt live without it now that it has spoiled me with the quick reference find! Only thing bad but i've to compromise to use disc without labels in order for this machine to work perfect when it automatically ejects and/or retracts the disc from its channel. This machine really impressed me to automatically list my installed disc in alphabet order, which makes each disc much easier to find!!!

This is really a great idea, and despite the nonsense about scratching (I have had the unit two years), it does very well with commercial discs. Beware that discs with labels, and in fact some DVDs, are too think to easily fit in the slots. That is the main drawback of this unit.
