Better glue would be nice, but still good product
Reviewer: Kelvin on 01/14/2010
As others have noted, the glue used to seal the seams of these mailers often fails. It's important to carefully slide the CD into the mailer so it doesn't pry the paperboard sides apart. The flap (with much a stronger seal) then helps to hold the mailer together, though there are times I've taped the sides. But it's light, solid, and avoids the surcharge for square envelopes. No one has ever complained that the CD was broken when they received it.

any way to contact the manufacturer?
Reviewer: 2WayMailer on 06/29/2009
Pros: No more broken DVDs
Best Uses: Mail, Tape the edges to be safe

These cardboard like designs are sturdy enough that pretty much no more DVD breakages when mailed in these envelopes, but, the same means its heavy enough that it does not qualify for the 1 OZ First Class mailer rate like other paper-based envelopes used by Netflix etc. Still for me, since I have seen many breakages with paper-based envelopes, extra OZ postage required for these is worth - its like paying little insurance premium to protect against breakage. However, the thing that bothers me is the falling apart of the glue that binds the back side and front side of the envelope along the long endges. I had been wishing that the manufacture sees our comments and fixes this one little glitch / manufacturing defect, so it makes our job easier (right now we have to use taping to make sure DVDs don't fall out as the glue breaks during shipping & handling). I tried asking SuperMediaStore customer service to get us a contact info for the manufacturer so I can directly talk to them, but they weren't able to provide it, nor were they able to pass this concern along. If anyone knows how to contact the manufacturer we would certainly appreciate passing it on.

Falls apart

We ship DVD games all over the world. I totally agreed with 2WayMailer. Poor glue quality is the main issue. Since we bought 100 of them, we had to tape the edges on everyone of them so that we don't waste them. Also, the cardboard quality is ok but it isn't as strong as some of the others I used.

CD mailers a good buy
Reviewer: Godfather J on 02/25/2009
Pros: Easy To Use, Affordable
Best Uses: For mailing

The peal and seal white CD mailers have worked well for mailing single CDs. The glue used by the manufacturer seems to be a little lacking. As the envelopes are just wide enough to fit a CD in a sleeve, the envelopes are prone to splitting open on the sides (about one in ten I have to reinforce with packing tape). However, I haven't found a comparable product anywhere near this price range.
