First off, i couldn't find the word apogee on the unit anywhere. I am familiar with apogee from the music industry and was expecting a product from that company, i do not believe they are the same. Slow switching but works as described.

DISH Network DVRs and DVD players only have one HDMI output. This switch allows a choice of signals, either Satalite or DVD, plus two additional signals, to two sets with no reduction in the quality of the signals. Better than a splitter because of true matrix capability.

I have Living Rm & Bedroom TVs connected to 2 DVRs and upconverting DVD player with this matrix switch. Works great to show any input to any TV at any time with only a single box. Only negative is if you connect or disconnect a cable you usually have to power off everything and power back on -- but in normal use this won't happen, your cables will remain connected.

Unit Came pretty quickly and was very easy to setup. 4 inputs and 2 outputs. Took me about 10 minutes. Unit works perfectly. Switches pretty quickly, might have a few second delay to sync up the HDMI, but well within acceptability. Only thing I would change is to make the IR window bigger so you can mount an IR blaster and still have access to it.
