Failed badly very early

AFter about six months of extremely light use, it started corrupting data stored on it. At that point I was able to write with no errors or warnings and navigating through the file system. I lost two whole days of working on a Powerpoint. The first day I kept saving to the thumbdrive. I found out at the end of the day when I plugged the thumbdrive into my desktop computer that the file was corrupted. That was easily six hours of work. I reverted to the previous days backup. I used the format tool from Apacer and wiped the drive. I did a few tests and it seemed not to be corrupting data any more, but... The next day was a repeat of the first day. Argg! Fool my twice, shame on me!

Bought the HT203 based on rave reviews about its speed for ReadyBoost use on my Vista PC. I purchased it here just over 30 days ago and up until last night it worked great! Then it just stopped working and shows a write protected error message when I try to access, re-format, anything. Dead.

After one year it worked extrememly well. I left it in the trunk of my car in -15 C or 6 F degrees for two days it stopped working trying to format indicated a raw data device format failed
