Review of Verbatim LightScribe 8X 8.5GB DVD+R Double Layer DL Media 10 Pack in Cake Box

This product meets a definite need and Verbatim was the right company to rise to the challenge. After all, if you need to go to the trouble of making a double-layer DVD, you should be able to burn a label on it with Lightscribe instead of tackily scribbling on the disc with a permanent marker--as I had to do before I got these beauties. So far I have had no trouble with these discs at all, as is seemingly always the case with Verbatim DVD's, but even the SuperMedia price is definitely on the high side; nevertheless, it is probably more justified by the quality of the product than you might think. Moral of the story: if you really need dual-layer Lightscribe DVD's, you'll be satisfied with this product, if a bit too much poorer.

I burned a few dual layer dvd's, including an original MacOS X 10.5 Leopard Install disc image. I also used some lightscribe software to print info directly onto the dvd. Both burning and lightscribe printing directly onto the disc was easy and I had no problems. I've used the new duplicated discs several times with no problem. If I was to suggest anything, it would be to also offer a larger media pack than just a 10 pack ...and of course, for less money :-)

I will buy here again. The status and followup emails were a nice touch. The free shipping made this the best price I could find on the DVDs I purchased.

These disks work well for me for creating videos. So far, Verbatum is the only manufacturer that offers DVD+DL Light Scribe disks.
Will buy more when this batch is used up.

These DVD's perform flawlessly, and are the only Double Layer DVD's that offer LightScribe, in addition this is the only vender that I know of that sells them. There are most likely other, but I have not Googled this item. The price of this item is high. This vender is very reliable, so I have no reason to look else where.

Your price for single layer LightScribe DVD's is great. I get 100 DVD's from you for less than I can get 50 from OfficeMax.

This was my first purchase of any Lightscribe DVD-R DL media. I had used regular Lightscribe CD-R in the past. Verbatim is the best media option available for all uses.

If there was some other media that worked as well, I would be glad to try it. Before using these on a samsung 223 writier, I made more coasters or pixalated copies than good product
