Review of Verbatim LightScribe 16X DVD-R Media 25 Pack in Cake Box Available in 5 Color Background Assortment

Verbatim is the Best here for Lightscribe discs. They are more expensive but you get what you pay for ... more relaible, consistent results with a better label burn. These Colored discs seems to yield a darker more contrasted labeling than the standard gold ones do, most of the time not requiring a double burn.

Only used on disc so far and it seemed just fine. Less expensive than HP...time will tell as I use more of them.

These dvd's work without any issues in my burner. I have used verbatim products for years and never had any problems with anything from them. Rock solid products from them. Super media store shipped them to me so fast I thought they teleported my order from California to Florida. Thanks for a great shopping experience! O)n a final note,those people that complain about the labels coming out faded looking need to update their lightscribe software to the newest version in order for these to work properly.the newest version of lightscribe drivers and software make a huge difference in the quality of the label output.

I had a huge project that needed the color punch, but the first 10 disks from this lot wouldn't record or print. I gave up and went back to the gold HP disks which worked just fine. I've used these in the past with no problem, so suspect it was a bad batch.

I am now re-ordering another 100 pieces of the color variety. I use them for creating copies of DVDs in my collection and for DVDs of TV shows I have recorded. There are roughly 18 blanks left of my original 100 and I have yet to create a coaster! I don't know if this is because the media and my burner are well matched for each other or some other unknown reason but why should I change a successful combination? The DVDs play flawlessly and the LightScribe labels look gorgeous. FYI while I can burn at 16x I never burn faster than 4x.
