Review for JVC Taiyo Yuden Silver Thermal Lacquer 8X DVD-R Media (Premium Line) 100 Pack in Cake Box

I purchased several 100 packs of the Taiyo Yuden - premium line in the past and had no problems playing the burned copies in my dvd player. I've noticed after my last purchase and after the merger of JVC with Taiyo Yuden that i'm not having the same luck with the burned dvd's playing. I've sent the 100 pack back for a return to see if it was just the set i received or some other issue.

High quality CDs, never a bad one in the batch

So far I've not found any bad media or had a single failure.

I wanted a bulk amount of DVDs to record games & shows. I've only burned 2 DVDs using these (JVC/Taiyo Yuden Silver Thermal Lacquer 8X DVD-R). So far, the results are very good, using my Sony DVD home unit recorder, set on maximum resolution. Definitely worth the price.

Never a single problem except the ones I've caused.

Taiyo Yuden blank DVD's (not the Value Line) are your best choice. I have *never* had one fail on me. Forget Sony (and especially Memorex--they are the worst!). Taiyo Yuden is all I trust.
