I find these Sony tapes to be the best mini-DV tapes.

I have not used these specific tapes yet because I just received them, but I have used Sony DVM60PRL tapes almost exclusively for several years and have been completely satisfied. I did try some Panasonic mini-DV tapes at one point and had several audio dropouts in the recordings after a year or so, and therefore I'm sticking with the Sony's.

No qualms about ordering from SMS; have been for years and they're reliable and shipment is quick.
This order set precedent. It was the first time I received an immediate email stating the items were on backorder and they'd be in stock in 1-2 days. I've heard '1-2 days' before and considered canceling, but the next day I received shipment confirmation.
Been using Sony tapes in a Canon XL-2 since purchase 4 years ago. Canon recommends not mixing tapes, so this is virtually the only tape that's been used in the camera.
They're mid-range in quality and do the job. No dropouts, good audio and video fidelity.

The quality of these tapes are very good and the price is fair. SuperMedia Store is very good with delivery but this time one of the packs of tapes was missing. But as soon as I contacted customer service they apologized and are sending the missing one immediately. Couldn't be more pleased with this company.
