I have a black toner line on the left side of each printed paper.

Enjoy the laser printer but I do not know how to remove the toner line along the left side of the papers. I used a Q tip very lightly to remove it. It is still there. How do I remove it permanently. It has been on the papers since I put it in the printer last week.
