I've ordered the Optical Quantum Blu-Ray blank discs in the past and have had no issues with burning them. They are typically at least $1.00 or more per disc. The price during the sale is the cheapest I have seen for these discs. I've seen equivalent prices locally for brand names such as Kodak. There just aren't that many disc manufacturers. Many of the discs are provided by a few manufacturers but branded by whoever orders them for resale. Most of the other name brands are much, much higher in price at the retail level. Grab these discs while they are available at these unheard of prices.

I tried this product for a change based on fairly good reviews. 1 out of 5 would fail, about 20% failed on an LG burner. Back to the Memorex Blu-Ray 4X 25GB disc and 98% success rate.

I've purchased other BluRay discs from Supermediastore in the same price range and had 10 out of 10 successes. There is definitely something wrong with this batch. After I complained, I received an email ststing that Supermediastore was going to email me (within 24 hrs) a prepaid Fedex Return label and an RMA. That was over 48 hours ago and I have not received either email yet

I Should not have purchased cheap disks, so far thay do not work. I was unable to record movies twice. Afterwards when using a diffrent brand there was no problem. I dont know what I am going to do with them.

Interesting how I paid for like 3 day delivery, it was in my town in 2, but the delivery was held for 1 day because it wasn't to be delivered until the next day, so they didn't send it out.

Have been using optical quantum bd-r discs for over a year. Have had less than 1/2 percent that have failed to burn. They are excellent quality, and the printable surface produces a nice finished look. Quick shipping all the time. I would highly recommend them.

With these Blu-Ray discs by Optical Quantum I've had no coasters plus their hub printable, have an 8x burn speed (label says 4x but when you load them 8x is selected) and are only $1 each. What's not to like.
Before buying, it's worth doing a little research on hardware compatibility. Not all Blu-Ray burners are alike. I use LG WH10LS30 Blu-Ray burners (good Blu-Ray burner for under $100) and haven't had any hardware compatibility problems.

Tried it with LG BL writer. Out of 10, 2 failed during write verification, 1 failed during writing. Half burnt with Nero, half burnt with bundle software from LG. After trying other media, I'm suspecting the failure to be media-specific problem.

Checked with friends that have used these successfully and admittedly this is my first 50 discs with a new Pioneer 206 burner but I have lost in excess of 25% that either refuse to burn or even "recognize" in DVD Fab. The most upsetting find was 2 discs that failed in the burn process - I always visually inspect the discs that fail in this fashion (due to a loss of 100 Ritek DVD-R) and found they have a VERY visually discernable DEFECT in the surface of the disc - a "what looks like" puddle in the dye layer of the disc. Makes one wonder about the manufacturers Quality Control when I have to visually inspect ONE BY ONE 50 discs for VISUAL defects????? Give me a break!

I bought 5 packs of these disc and Im in my 2nd one .. it's about 50/50 on burning a coaster .. I have no idea what causes it but after burning if you look at the back side some of them are "cloudy" and those will skip, stutter, freeze or just not play at all .. While the other half come out clear and play perfectly fine! These are not worth the meager savings over the RiData I purchased previously. FYI, It is not my video files, folder structures or burning programs. I used the EXACT same files each time 1st burn perfect 2nd cloudy and stutters 3rd burn back to perfect.. Same files and the same burning software. My last concern is the lifespan of these disc. I have burnt DVD's that are 5+ years old and still play them, I'd hate for these to go bad after a few months .. :( VERY UNHAPPY WITH PRODUCT !! STAY AWAY!!

I have reviewed this product several times before...and with the passing of time and my continuing use of this product, I am still amazed by how well it works for me at a fraction of the cost of other big name brands that do the same thing for much, much more. I don't know how well these discs will hold up as far as long term storage of data goes...but they perform quite well now...and the image quality of a 1080P movie burned on them appears to be as good as any of those much more expensive 'name brand' products. My wish is that this "OPTICAL QUANTUM" (PHILIPS product) will release a 50GB Dual Layer disc at or around the price of DVD+R DL discs

reliable Blu-Ray Disc without the manufacture's ego messing up the label side

I like this "OPTICAL QUANTUM" 25GB BD-R BLU-RAY Disc as it is quite economical compared to the 'leading brand', so far all but one out of about 80 of my data burn Discs have turned out OK, so I have no complaints...and supposedly SuperMediaStore.com will test and replace that defective one Disc although it would be foolish to package up and mail out that one disc for replacement at a cost that's actually greater than that one disc. So, as long as the price, service, and quality remain high coupled with the bonus of having SuperMediaStore.com stand behind the product with a free replacement(s), I will recommend this product to anyone. In the Blu-Ray 'industry' where there prices are way, way, way to high for blank BD-R media, this product is proof that you can have quality at an affordable price. Since "PHILIPS" manufactures this product, maybe PHILIPS can also be the 'pioneer of this industry' by coming up with a in with a Blu-Ray 50GB Dual Layer Disc at under a dollar per discs. After all, the normal DVD Dual Layer disc started out being priced excessively high...and now you can get them for well under a dollar.

It was difficult to find NON LTH recording media and confusing to determine which type one was looking at from all the possible choices. The manufacturers should denote this if the media is incompatible with certain burners. In absence of manufacturer support, the retailers should denote this for their customers. We haven't determined if this media will work for our project with our burner, but we're hopeful that the LTH issue is what caused problems with the last batch of media.

So far I've used approximately 30 of these Blu-Ray BD-R 25GB discs, and I had no problem with 29 of them. Other reviewers stated problems with bad discs or bad burns from Optical Quantum (Phillips), while some offered the suggestion that you keep your burn speed rate at 2x. By following that advice, I've had very good success with my burns...and that bad 30th disc was immediately rejected from my burner where, on inspection, the disc had some very obvious visible marks on the disc from the factory that my burner read and quickly rejected...so I didn't waste any time with that bad disc. Overall, I find these to be a very good value based upon the industry's excessively high priced offerings. Maybe in a couple of months (ha ha!) the industry will get wise in this economy, and start offering these single layer Blu-Ray discs at a price comparable to what they sell regular blank DVDs for?!!! I'm similarly waiting for the industry to reduce all Blu-Ray 50GB Dual Layer discs to what they charge for regular Dual Layer DVDs because there is very little difference in the costs to manufacture them. Perhaps OPTICAL QUANTUM can lead us there as well(???)!!!!

I have been using these for about 6 months now and with over 50 burns, I haven't had one coaster using my LG burner with ImgBurn software (Don't use Nero or you will have coasters, according to other reviewers).
My only gripe with these discs is that they have their Optical Quantum logo etched into the hub so when you print, it can be seen through the image because it is etched all the way through the surface of the printable area. Not a big deal, but you can read the brand name on every disc printed although it is not as noticeable on darker images.
I was using Ritek and Acro Circle brands before which are very good brands as well, but for the money, when you can get this brand between $10-$14/10pk, grab them!

I have burnt Qty.2 at 8 speed, Qty.2 at 4 speed and Qty.8 at 6 speed on an LG WH10LS30. All BR-R were >90% full, all burnt and verified ok with imgburn 2.5.4.0.

Made a few coasters, but no the fault of the media or the drive, a Lite-on IHBS112. They burn at 4X and play just fine. Optidrive control shows less than stellar burns.. not bad, just not great, but that may be the drives ability to read, I have no other BD media to compare it to.
They play in my samsung C6900 set top unit just fine.

These discs were very cheap 9.99 for 10 pack. I was kinda skeptical of buying...never heard of the brand, but I have not had any problems burning on them at all. Excellent quality and you can't beat the price either. I ended up buying 4 packs of them. You won't be dissatisfied.

So far, out of the 15 or so burns, I have had one bad disk. It was visibly bad, looked like there were bubbles of air in the plastic of the disk and the burn failed.
I purchased 4 ten packs, and I love this media. Burns at rated speeds, and is compatible with my PS3.
I am also very happy with Super Media Store, product arrived in a well packaged box, and the could not be beat.

I just got a new Blu-ray burner and I needed some media. SuperMediaStore had a deal on these Optical Quantum Blu-ray discs. I just installed the burner and was pleased to see that the OEM version of Nero recognized my new drive. I did a 21GB data backup and verify with no errors. It's a beautiful thing. I reserve judgement on the long term data reliability, but these are good so far.

In the past I have had very good luck with the Optical Quantum brand of BD-R media. But these 10 pack units have averged about 2 bad discs per pack, that's an average of 20% bad product. The price outweighs the difference however - I just have to remember to order a larger quantity.

Warning: These disks will not work with the new LG burners even with the latest firmware. The other Optical Media disks will work but these are the white label ones with Optical Quantum on the disk. I have to return 10 packs.

I bought a total of 6 packs each containing 10 blu ray discs. While the price is excellent ($1.00 per disc)-quality is lacking. At least one disc per pack became coasters. That represents a 10% defective rate. Some might think that still represents a good deal when each disc is only a $1.00 but I find that having a bad disc takes up alot of my time and pc processing.
I'll stick to buying Memorex Blu Ray discs. The discs are slightly thicker and I've never had a coaster.

I tried this disc with my Pioneer burner BDR-205 at different recording speeds 4X (23 min), 6X (16 min, for me the best option) and 8X (13 min), in the recording of approximately 96% of media capacity and each record was verified by the burning software, no errors.
Each was seen in a 80Gb PS3 without playback problems.

Was on backorder for a couple of days but received shipment within 3 days. Burned 2 disc out of 20 and no coaster so far. It is too early to tell if there will be any data loss issue. This disc is slightly thinner than a TDK (from Japan) counterpart which is three times more expensive. From a price/unit perspective, it is good as of now.

Good quality blu-ray disc, no coaster yet out of 2 packs of 10, on my LG GGW-H20L 4x no problem recognizing the disc but on LG BH10LS30 10x its scan and scan for about 45-60 seconds before it recognize and then it burn at 8x but there no firmware available for the BH10LS30.

These are the first blank BDRs I've used and so far they have been great. I backed up 2 of my Blu-Ray movies so far and they work perfectly. I always burn discs slow...it takes longer but the end result is a working disc, not a coaster. The print surface is pretty good..just like your average printable DVD-R. There is a logo near the hub, but pretty small and not too noticeable. I got a 10 pack for $9.99...a buck a piece for blu-ray blanks...can't beat that price anywhere ! I wish I got more...Thanx SMS !
