Review of Memorex Branded DVD+R DL 8X 8.5GB Double Layer Media 50 Pack in Cake Box (05732)

SuperMediaStore is a great merchant, BUT this is a terrible product! Completely worthless! I burned six coasters in a row in each of three burners on two computers -- one running Windows XP (SP3) and the other Vista Home Premium. I tried burning these allegedly 8x discs at 2.4x, hoping to salvage my purchase. No luck. My drives are a Samsung SH-Si82M, A Pioneer BDR - 203, and a Matshita UL - 8605. The latest firmware is installed in the first two and unavailable for the Matshita device.

The 8x Memorex disks would not be a bargain even if they were GIVING them away.

I can't say any more than "what they say they deliver"!

best value i have found for dvd dl media, and i have shopped around on internet and in stores. they work great, very few failed discs

I have a new sony recorder and it works great with single layer disks But i can't get these memorex to copy one thing without making a coaster I have burned 35 coasters so far and these are the kind my recorder manual said to use DVD+R DL so i'm stumped so make up your own mind !!

I experienced a 95% failure rate with the Memorex discs and thought is was my drive. I bought some Sony DL DVDs and so far 100% have written and verified without a problem. What a terrible product!

I am getting a very bad burn percentage with these disks, even when burning them at their lowest speed. I will not be buying memorex again.
