These discs are no more than garbage

Discs will not copy. Junk, totally defective. I tried to return them for replacement or credit, but only had 46 discs left. The other 4 were ones I tried to use, and did not copy but were no longer blank. So SMS refused any refund or credit. I will NEVER purchase from SMS again.

Dvds I ordered arrived damaged, poor job of packaging allowed them to bounce around during shipping and damaged several dvds. I was refunded the cost of the damaged dvds but packaging needs some upgrades.

These discs work great so far. No coasters. But this fedex saver delivery that uses fedex and usps has gotta go. My order took 12 days to ship from Southern California to Northern California. Really?? Regular Fedex & UPS takes 2 days. I hope Supermedia Store reads this review & changes it's shipping method because there great in all other ways!

i have stuck with this brand over the years because of price, occasional sales, etc. I know memorex isn't the greatest brand in the world, but these discs never give me coasters. I use a lite on and a asus dvd burner and haven't had one coaster. Great buy. THe thing i like most about these discs is the speed is consistent as advertised. I always had issues with tdk discs and other brands.

Instead of buying the Verbatim discs for double the price, these work almost flawlessly for what they are intended for. I wouldn't buy another brand except the printable discs, but Memorex doesn't make them as far as I know. So you won't be disappointed buying these at all.

I don't know what has happened to Memorex in the market place.
Lately I have had nothing but problems with their recording media.
The dual Layer was the worst. I wa told it was my firmware. Not so. Everything was up to date. Their product just does't match up to most on the market....
Pay a little bit more if you want to make sure you can use all in the bundle.

this dvd+r pack worked very well. there were only 2 coasters in this cake box of 50. i've used the ridata and verbatim 8.5 g dual layers (2.4x, 8x) in the past. the memorex works just as well.

I've been buying this product for a while now and it seems the last two cake boxes I bought are producing more coasters than I like. Out of two cake boxes of 50ct. each I had 16 discs that my Blu-Ray burner would not reconize. Thats to many for me, time to try a different brand.

Memorex DVD+R DL disks work well with Pioneer brand DVD burners. Lower power burners, and laptop drives may give a higher number of unusable disks. With the lower power burners, it is better to use Verbatim blanks.

Memorex Double Layer 8X 8.5GB DVD+RDL are low quality discs but if you burn at 2.4x you should have no problems. Burn at 8x and it's coaster-city. Not recommended for your most critical data but for movies and such these discs work well.

Over half the disc have an 'error' when trying to place media onto disc. I have an up to date Pioneer Burner ..... burns everything ...including Blu Ray. All My disc are Taiyo Yuden...or Ritek Ridata .. except these and they seem to be the problem.

I wasted my money on these.

Insufficient shipping packaging results in consistent damage to product

I primarily buy these DVDs from Supermedia Store due to the price. One problem though has been consistent damage upon receipt due to minimal packing material to shield the fragile DVD cases and often results in damage to the case and some of the DVDs.

If undamaged due to shipping the DVDs work well for me and are consistent in their burning with minimal failing.

Other than that Supermedia Store has excellent service, pricing and available products.

Burns great (XB360) haven't had a coaster yet. I only burn at 2.4x anyway even though it capable of 8x. The Disk (information) is different then the store bought DL-DVD Memorex's(ritek). But they work just as well.

First off I have to say that the shipping was very fast. I ordered at the begin of the week and I had my stuff before the end of the week.
Now when it comes to DVD DL discs, Verbatim is said to be the "best" and nothing else compares but I do admit that these are exactly the same and I have already been through half and no coasters. And the price for the quantity doesnt compare. Definitley going to stick with these. Thanks SuperMediaStore.

There were 8 discs that were bad and could not record on so far. This is bad for the price of these discs.

The price was ok and the delivery was good, however the quality of Memorex on the DVD+Rdl was terrible. Out of one package of 50 there were at least 8 discs that would not record, and I had to throw the disc away instead of backing up my movies. If this purchase had not been by internet, I would have taken them back for a refund of my money, or at least a replacement of the bad discs.

I've been buying media from here for years and have never had one single problem with anything I have purchased. DO NOT BUY. These discs are actually manufactured by Ritek. The Media Type ID is: S04 and the Product rev is 066. I never purchase Ritek, as Ritek QC is poor and they manufacture substandard DL DVDs that do not meet the interational speciifcations and tolerances for DL media. The result is that these disc will produce coasters on the majority of DL DVD burners the majority of the time.
The first 4 I tried produced coasters. I tried to burn at 6x, 4x, 2.4x and 1x speed to no avail. I am returning them as not fit for purpose.
It is a shame that SuperMediaStore does not state who actually manufactures the discs as well as the 'brand'.
As I said - do not buy these, you will get coasters.

Discs arrived promptly and in good condition(well packed). Liked the UPS tracking info on your website. Problem with disc packaging. A thin foam ring clung to the bottom of a blank disc and the duplicator aborted the duplication process halfway through, and created three "coasters". All other discs performed flawlessly.

I have found Memorex Optical disks by far the most reliable storage media to date. Very rarely will I come across a defective disk.

These discs are fairly consistent and at a good price, I have found them a few dollars cheaper before but I purchased other items with these disc making the overall purchase worth it. Delivery could have been better, the bottom plate on the spindle was broken in several pieces, luckily none of the disc were damaged, the clear plastic disc at the bottom of the spindle took all of abuse. Shipping was free so I cannot complain much but UPS always seems to take longer than Fedex even on equivalent shipping options.

After much playing around with different brands including; Ritek, TDK, Maxell, and Taiyo Yuden. This is strangely enough the most reliable, best burning, and best playing (highest compatibility with the most players) of any of the other brands I've listed. Burn failure rate with these is maybe 1 in 30. With a failure to play rate of maybe 1 in 50. It is either just a happy twist of fate, or God smiling down that it is also one of the least expensive.

We have used this product for about a month , and out of 300 D.V.D.'S , THERE WERE ABOUT 5 BAD ONES . Thats not a bad ratio. I will order this product again , as a matter of fact I have another 100 on the way . This company is a good company to work with . We live in Wisconsin , and we get the product in 5 days Ground U.P.S. I WILL CONTINUE TO PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY.The price is the Best I have found so far.

SuperMediaStore is a great merchant, BUT this is a terrible product! Completely worthless! I burned six coasters in a row in each of three burners on two computers -- one running Windows XP (SP3) and the other Vista Home Premium. I tried burning these allegedly 8x discs at 2.4x, hoping to salvage my purchase. No luck. My drives are a Samsung SH-Si82M, A Pioneer BDR - 203, and a Matshita UL - 8605. The latest firmware is installed in the first two and unavailable for the Matshita device.

The 8x Memorex disks would not be a bargain even if they were GIVING them away.

I have a new sony recorder and it works great with single layer disks But i can't get these memorex to copy one thing without making a coaster I have burned 35 coasters so far and these are the kind my recorder manual said to use DVD+R DL so i'm stumped so make up your own mind !!

I experienced a 95% failure rate with the Memorex discs and thought is was my drive. I bought some Sony DL DVDs and so far 100% have written and verified without a problem. What a terrible product!

I'm very happy with the quick service from SuperMediaStore and also happy with the use I have had lately from the dvd's. Work wonderful.

So people complained about having a lot of dud's with the memorex, I have always burned dvd's and cd's at low speeds and Very rarely have had a problem.

I have not used any of these disc yet, but am sure there will be no problems with them. I have used Memorex before with great results.

As a professional photographer, I bought these discs to backup the folders where I keep my original photo files, some of which were too large for single layer discs. I was disappointed to find that my macbook pro would not write to these discs, it would try and then give me an error message. After posting on Apple's support forum, I was told that the memorex discs can suffer from problems of incompatibility and to stick with discs from other manufacturers such as Verbatim, Maxell or TDK. I did manage to burn some discs on my PC, but only if I dropped the write speed down to 4x. Anything higher and I would get errors trying to burn on there as well.

I would not buy these discs again.
