jury is still out. I will count how many are broken as I use them. Since these are "premium", I would expect none broke, or at best a few. I believe the shipping packaging is crucial to protect the contents. Shipping these cases in the box the individual cases are in is a no brainer. BAD!!!!!

These are definitely the "high quality" version of the 5.2mm slims. I had 15-20% breakage on the standard version, recycled from old plastic along with substantial additional warped cases. There is no breakage and no warping with the "high quality" cases. In part that's because they come packed tightly in heavy-duty boxes inside a second box packed with bubble wrap, unlike the low-priced cases that come 200 in a flimsy cardboard box -- hence the high rate of breakage. The fit is better on the "high quality" cases as well, so they always snap shut properly. Do yourself a favor and pay for the premium cases.

It is hard to find such excellent cases shipped at such an attractive price. The only concern I had since I have ordered these before is that some cases would come through damaged. I am really pleased to report that Supermediastore is now using much more sturdy cardboard packaging with good strength, and the new packaging resulted in no damage to 600 cases in 2 shipments sent to the East Coast by ground shipping. The cases arrived absolutely fine.

The cases themselves are also top quality, as good as the more expensive Memorex cases I often purchase.

The price for these cases went up a good 50% from last time I ordered them. The delivery speed was quick but some of the cases were broken upon delivery. I'm sure it was more accident than anything else. The worst thing is the price because the old price used to be the best price you could find.

I have bought several iterations of this case over the years and this one is the best yet. The plastic seems to be of a higher quality and this slim case seems to be just more solid. The center "grabber" holds the CD better than in past products purchased from Supermediastore.com. Overall, this is just a better product and one I hope they keep as the offering for this catalog number. I would recommend this case over that of competing products you can buy in the store.

We use these slim cases in our multimedia transfer services business. They are purfect for the products we put out. Not like a bulky jewel case. They are sturdy enough to open and close withiout having the door fall off. Other company brands often will pop apart when opening or they won't close tight without breaking off the little latch. The Premium Slim Black CD Jewel Cases from SuperMediaStore are a good value. I have tried other (not the preminum) cases although less expensive, breakage is a lot higher. After buying a couple hundred clam-shell cases, I decided that I really liked the older style jewel cases. The only proble I had was that the case of these jewel cases was shipped in the same box it was received in by SMS. Somewhere along the way, in shipping several individual jewel cases had gotten broken. SMS promply refunded my credit card for these broken items.

So many vendors ship CDs in envelopes, etc. that arrive broken, I decided to just buy a bunch of cases so I can simply use one of these new cases and not bother messing around for months getting a replacement. Plus I burn both Cds and DVDs.

Good deal for the price but several cases broken in some way whether the tray or the case itself. Packaging appears good at first with a bunch of styrofoam pieces but CDs are placed in insecure loosely wrapped clear plastic. I found it too easy to accidentally crack cd somewhere when placing my artwork no matter how delicate I tried to be with it. Good thing I bought 600 and only wanted 500, I used almost 25 extras due to defects. May consider still purchasing again from this company.

I had received, inspected and used half of the first 100 order, replacing previously store bought bargains housing my finished recorded DVD's. This was the follow-up order by phone. The products quality already proven, I wanted to see if a discount would be possible by ordering another 100. To my elated surprise they were already on a temporary super sale price, so I took the total to 200 more. It should also be noted that the lady taking this order was pleasant conversation and very efficient. Thank you again.

The reason I went looking for these is that the local store "Fry's" replaced name brand cases with what has turned out to be sale priced junk, and what I now call knock offs. I use the thin CD cases for DVD's, but quality material and fit apparently isn't universal. These premium cases passed with flying colors. The fit is tight, and that assures an open and close snap for good sealing. The plastic is rigid, no arc, and it lies flat. As soon as I can figure out how many replacements I need, I won't hesitate to order another 100 or 200 more.

The only flaw that I could find was not with shipping, nor with pricing, nor with any other aspect of the purchase, besides the product itself. These jewel cases have a locking mechanism, and it's slightly difficult to open and close them. They're not as easy as the ones I'm used to, in other words. But they'll do. And that's literally my own complaint.

Paid extra for the "premium" version, hoping to get something resembling the good old commercial-quality CD jewel case. Instead received the same flimsy brittle-plastic cases, which I guess is now the norm. Do NOT spend extra for the "premium" cases. Just buy the regular ones for less money. It's the same cheap junk.

You can't beat the price on this product. Several of the cases were broken when I opened the box. The box didn't look damaged, so I have no idea where the breakage occurred. I just threw out all of the broken cases. Guess that's just the price you have to pay when the cost of the product is so low. It would have been nice if all 100 cases were usable.

I have ordered several cases of these Jewell Cases, and have never received a bad one in the bunch, That in itself deserves a 5 ***** rating. These work so well with the inserts and everything goes together well.
I also use the DVD cases and ainserts and have enjoyed the same success. SuperMedia has a good team and I enjoy the benefits of that..
