I previously purchased 4 smaller Linky storage cases from you and because of the price and quality, I just purchased 2 of tghe 720 capacity cases. They look like metal but even though they're plastic, they are sturdy and easy to catalog and use.

Excellent storage case for the money, especially on sale. All the edges and corners are metal-reinforced. I would recommend this case as a long-term storage solution to anywho who has a lot of CDs/DVDs. 2 "cons" -- there is no separator between rows, so using the provided hanging file system is pretty much required, and the case is over 12 1/2" deep, just a bit too deep for a standard closed-back bookcase (but just right for a 14"x24" wire rack shelving system.

My DVD collection was getting out of hand, so I bought one of these when they were on sale. The construction is pretty rugged, with reinforced ends and corners. My only quibble is that there are no spacers between the 4 rows of storage, making this case most suitable as an archive. Each hanging sleeve is numbered (2 discs per sleeve) and the first sleeve in each row has an index sheet. I liked this case well enough to buy a second one the next time SuperMediaStore put them on sale.

Fantastic Storage Case for the price & well made!

These Storage Cases are very well made for the price! While they are made from a strong plastic, they are ribbed for strength and reinforced with aluminum at that to make them even more durable. I expect them (I've purchased 4) to last as long as I don't stand or sit on them --- they aren't made for that! I am very pleased with the price I paid ($31 - check for Sales!) and wouldn't hestitate to buy again, have recommended these to friends as well. In a different review, someone mentioned that when full to capacity, the aluminum rails that the sleeves hang from started to bend (I haven't had that problem), it would be very easy & inexpensive to just place a small wooden dowl secured by a screw on top to add extra strength to the rail.

Case arrived soon after ordering it. Each sleeve is numbered and there is a master sheet for each row of discs to make it easy to find the disk you are looking for. Great idea and really helped to organize the 100's of backed up photo DVDs.

There were some issues with broken supports on the DVD holders. I ordered 3 and the 5 broken supports are not really an issue I would want to send the box back for RMA. The quality was better than I expected, the cases themselves are very well made.

I Have a large collection of music CD"s and still collecting.What A mess until I got this case CNN1000BK, it was just what I needed at a great price. However I think 1000 CD's in this case will be a tight fit, but it will hold them I'm sure. The case is well built and sturdy. I understand by other reviews that some are having trouble with the punchouts on the sleeves.Most will push out but some need to be cut out. I found that you really don't need to punch out the oblong holes on the sleeves, so don't wast your time on the ones that won't push out. The CD sticks up fare enough to get it out without the oblong slot, and I find myself not using the oblong hole anyway.Buy this case,you will be glad you did.Vary fast delivery.

This will really help you organize your library of discs, especially if you have many many discs like me. It looks good and index cards are included so you can see what is in each section without going through the individual discs.

The actual case is great. I literally shook it above my head to see if the sleeves would stay in place and they did. The look and feel of the case is professional. The only thing I would change about the case would be to add a handle on the front where the locks are or make it more like a suitcase by adding wheels and an extending handle. These would help for transportation. As is, it is more suited for two person operation instead of single.
The reason I didn't give 5 star quality is solely due to the sleeves. The perforated edges are not done correctly on all of them resulting in work with scissors and an Exacto knife to get the holes for the discs. I didn't contact SuperMedia about the problem because I didn't want to wait for a new case.
I'd recommend this for personal use, but the extra time required for the sleeves makes the up front cost ineffective for businesses.

Great Idea, but actual products sucks bad!!

I bought two of these cases because I have that many DVDs ( 2000+), and rather than buy more book shelves and CD Wallets, I decided to try this route. NEVER AGAIN.
The idea is sound...1000 discs in a storage locker type container, with wheels to easily move it. I got my two cases shipped to me, and the first one when I opened it, it was coming apart at one corner, so the top right side (where the handle is) was useless.
I called and had to pay to ship the thing back, but SM refunded me no problem.
Well I kept the other one, and now I wish I had sent it back too...I have it filled to capacity with 1000 dvds , and the darn thing won't stay locked. As soon as I lift it
to wheel it someplace, the right side lock comes undone, and put pressure
on the left side lock, which is good, and it threatens to come undone as well.
I have took all my valuable DVDs out of it, and got just to my burned ones in there,
and with only 650 discs in there, it still will not stay closed!! I have to keep it closed
currently with DUCT TAPE, which is embarrassing to say the least!
I was told that these are no longer being manufactured due to their poor quality, and I say good riddance!!

You can take this the way you want to, but here's my experience...
The sleeves are perforated, and if you want you can remove the tabs (unfortunately I chose to). The whole process took me a while. When I got my ~480th sleeve hung, the rod where the sleeve hangs from broke. Things happen, so I contacted SM for help.
1. Customer support replies once a day (Even if you reply immediately, you get a response next day).
2. I asked if they could help me out and allow me to keep the sleeves, I worked on. They said they needed everything back, before they can send a replacement.
3. I asked for an RMA, they sent me an email with an RMA number, but no shipping label. I emailed them asking for a shipping label & 1 day later I got the response that it was a part of the RMA email. The label was not there.
I could have pursued, but it's just not worth it... I think I can fix it myself, so I gave up. I've also given up on SM....

Great service and quick delivery, per usual. Nice case, sturdy and sleeves aren't cheaply made. My only issue with these "suitcase" type cd/dvd organizers is there are no handles on the front. Otherwise, very happy with purchase and likely to purchase again.

The box itself is tough for the job. The only drawback is the material use for the sleeves. It should be of thicker material and also big enough to have orignal inserts of the DVD.

I give this DVD storage case SIX stars. It is exactly as discribed. It is made out of heavy plastic (somewhat better than leather) with reinforced metal edging & corners and the cover closes with strips of foam to hold DVDs in place. There is a heavy duty handle on each end because of the weight of this case when full. All 500 DVD hanging sleeves (holds 2 DVDs in each sleeve) are included along with index sheets. However I list all my DVDs in a separate data base so I can find them alphabeticlly. Afer picking out the pre-punched openings in the sleeves, they fit and hang great. I had 3 sleeves that had the tabs broken and one call to customer service and they are in the mail. I am thinking of buying another

The case seems to be of very good quality. The hanging CD sleeves did require the removal of 2 pieces of vinyl on each side as other reviewers had stated. The vinyl for the CD openings came off effortlessly, as did one side for the thumb notch; however the thumb notch for the back sides were not puched through properly to allow easy removal. Not a deal-breaker for me, but it warranted a mark against quality.
Might be able to squeeze in 1000 CD's on the 500 hanging sleeves if you don't keep the original CD inserts. I wanted to keep the inserts and used one side for the CD and the other for the insert and fit my 300+ CD's into the case comfortably with room to easily thumb through the collection rather than prying them apart by jamming too much into a smaller case.
Might be able to squeeze in 1000 CD's on the 500 hanging sleeves if you don't keep the original CD inserts.
