Review of Linkyo 14mm 4 Disc Black DVD Cases 100 Pack

Many items were damaged during shipping. Returning or getting credit was a Hassle, so I just ate the loss!

Only about $10 more than standard cases and 4 times more capacity in the same space so they are cheaper overall. Interesting configuration. Two on the back of the case and one on each side of the middle leaf. The front is reserved for liner notes. In my opinion you could skip the liner notes section and configure them to hold two more discs which would be great for organizing and condensing storage space. The free shipping was nice too however it takes a good week for me to receive them on the east coast. The next shipping option however was astronomical, almost doubled the price.

Though the ones without the center flap are preferred this is a good second choice.

I usually order the supermediastore cases but there wasn't any in stock at the time so I order some of these. These were good for my needs. With free and ridiculously fast shipping, I'm a happy camper.

I really like these cases - they are a great value and really well constructed. The only issue I had is that they aren't exactly like what is pictured. Instead of one DVD hub on the inner front of the case, one hub on each side of the leaf, and one on the inner back of the case, the inner front has no hub and the inner back has two hubs so that the DVDs overlap. I've had trouble with discs getting scratched when they overlap like that in the past.

Overall, they are a great case and I recommend them to anyone for a personal collection.

I received the box of 100 with just a couple broken ones. The overall quality of the product is OK. They are not high quality cases. They bend and flex a lot easier then the ones that I am used to. The space for the pamphlet on the front is nice and if used for just in your personal collection, then they would work OK. The DVDs do hold decently into place and are not hard to take out of the holders, but there are a few drawbacks to this design. Since there are no spacers, nor anything to keep the tray from moving or hitting too much, then DVD's may get scratched in this case if handled too roughly.

When the center flap that holds the first 2 DVD's is laid toward the back of the case, The plastic center holder for the back DVD's come through the center holes in the flap, and the same goes for the center flap one to the back DVD's. There is nothing to keep the holders from hitting the DVD's. If you look closely there are little tabs at the top and bottom of the center flap towards the rear DVD's. If those were made bigger then they could keep the DVD's from hitting against each other, but they are not.

Also, the DVD's in the center flap only have 2 prongs to hold the DVD's in place. If one of them break, then that holder is useless. The Design should have been made with 4 way cross ones sot here are 4 for each side, not too. All they would have had to do was rotate the ones from the front of the flap to the ones at the back of the flap by 45 degrees.

Overall, This is an OK style, but far from great in both design and quality. I have not tried the Supermediastore brand for the 4 DVD cases, but if the quality and design is anything like the 6 DVD spindle of their brand, I would recommend them instead of these. The only advantage to Linkyo ones is that they have a place for a pamphlet.

The 4-disc case is not as shown, and not well designed. Two discs are held on the right-hand side of the case, with one overlapping the other. This makes it difficult to access the overlapped disc. And the center section holds two discs back-to-back, not offset as shown. So only two prongs hold each of these discs. Also, the case has a noticeable (but not overpowering) smoky smell.
Delivery was fast, but there was no padding in the box, so a few cases were chipped.
The price is low, and in this case you get just what you pay for.
