I purchased this item well in advance of need, so in all honesty I can't comment on quality. Thepoackage is and will remain unopened until the original toner is dead. Since I'm a light user that could be quite a while.

Low Price Toner that does the job okay

The quality of the toner seems up to snuff.

You'll definitely notice a difference in the quality of the cartridge/assembly that holds it though. Perhaps due to general compatibility across multiple printers, it doesn't positively 'snap' into place like the original Brother Cartridges do.

I've also noticed toner collecting on the edges of the cartridge resulting in a black 'line' being burned onto the edge of pages. I opened the printer last night, pulled out the cartridge and some toner spilled out that had been collecting right next to the edge of the rollers. After dumping it out and blowing off the excess toner with dustoff, it seems to be working better.

Time will tell if the 'build-up' of leaked toner occurs again.

Could be just one bad cartridge or it could be the inferior build quality of the cartridge relative to Brother OEM.

For my purposes and because of the cost savings, I'm willing to give it another shot.

The cartridge works fine, however, the Brother company has imbedded a code in their newer machines so that the "low toner" message does not disappear unless you use a OEM cartridge. We just ignore the warning and the printer & cartridge work fine. We just need to keep a log of when we installed the cartridge and since it's only used for faxes it should last quite awhile.

I have not installed any of the three cartridges I purchased yet as I keep a stock on hand. I have been using Super Media Store's "Linkyo" brand cartridges for years and only had a problem once. Super Media Store replaced it with no hassle so I feel confident in buying a bunch in advance, especially at these prices.

So far I'm very pleased with the replacement cartridge I received from Supermedia. I'm using in a Brother HL2270dw and clarity is still there I'm excited to see how long the toner holds out. Cost is a little less than 1/2 the price in the stores.

Fast delivery and good packaging. We're on our first week using the compatible TN-450 toner cartridge. Installation was easy. Quality of the toner is okay. Prints come out a little light compared to the Brother brand name toner. However, since most of the prints we make are usually for draft and review purposes, not for presentation, these meet our needs adequately for the price. No clue yet if the toner will be "high yield" or not as we're on our first week using it.

defective toner cartridge

I emailed Supermedia on 12/18 to say this cartridge only printed 400 pages and ran out. These pages were double spaced and size 10 font. It shouldn't have ran out. You emailed back that it is only supposed to print approx. 2300 not 2600 with 5 % of page typed. I emailed back on 12/19 that it only printed 400 of these type documents, so it was defective. Noone ever responded to me. I was forced to go to Officemax and purchase one to complete my assignment on time.

According to my printer, two of the three cartridges I received did not have any toner in them. I need to return them for replacements. I understand one of them was free for buying two, but I didn't even get two good ones.
