So far I have pulled 17 dvd cases from the first of six cases I have purchased that cannot be used. The reasons varied: slit plastic film covers, warped moldings, 1 cracked case, missing corners which I guess had snapped off. Haven't had these problems prior though of same exact item and I have 500 more which I haven't opened yet, so fingers crossed.

We were looking for a more sturdy CD/DVD case with the slots on the front and back to put the identifying info about the CD's/DVD's and the space on the inside to hold a synopsis of the CD/DVD. These cases meet our needs perfectly. We had purchased these same types of cases at a retail store and the prices were much higher overall than the per item costs of your cases. It took a little bit long for regular free shipping. About 9 days or so. The packaging was good. When we opened the box and started using the cases we found a couple of them in the first 25 pack were cracked and unuseable. We haven't checked the rest of the 3 remaining 25 packs yet. It appears the cracks and breaks were in the original manufacture and packaging of the items from the company who did the drop shipping. Overall a good product. Some loss due to damage.

We are a public library that now find we need to replace many dvd cases as we receive the new dvds as the cases are frequently made with openings in the plastic case. The cases are not as protective of the dvd, especially with the number of users a public library has. These cases allow us to replace these cases at a reasonable cost. Thank you!

If the product is to be used for promotional giveaways, charity, etc., the price is pretty reasonable. However for a saleable product, I consider the quality of the boxes to be unacceptable, both in the plastic case and the clear plastic sleeve. My customers expect to hang on to their product for some time and so have expectations that the case for the DVD reflects the durability of their purchase also.

This was only the second or third time that I/we have used this company. I guess the first 2 times, my orders were placed on my corporate credit card. This last time, I/we sent in a village government purchase order. We waited and waited for our order to come. A month later, I called your company and was THEN told that Super Media Store did not accept purchase orders less than $500.00. No one from your company called me to tell me this. For lack of a better reference, my order was thrown into a "dead letter" tray and never acted upon. If I had not called, I still would not have my order because NO ONE from your company thought that it would be good company policy or good customer service to call me and explain the hold up. Why didn't anyone from your company call me. I am NOT happy with your customer service.

OK this makes about a 1000 or so Dvd cases I have bought from supermedia store. The first batch years ago were a little flimsy. They got tremendously better as time went on, and now they carry and deleiever a great product. I will have to say I was slighty dissappointed when I opened the box and found there was no soft barrier of protection between the outer edge (the one you see while its one the shelf) of the case and the cardboard box. The cardboard box had worn the plastic transparent film just a little. Nothing that was really bad but always very pleased with the service and tracking. Just like Christmas for a big kid lol

You get what you pay for and these cases are no exception.
They aren't the worst I've purchased, but they are very flimsy and the clear insert isn't very clear and has a haze to it.
These would work great for bulk mail outs for marketing or promotional, but not very good for quality DVD sales.

We enjoyed putting all of my wife's dvd's into all of those cases. It looks very organized and easy to access on our bookshelves. Only problem we had was the delivery. The shipment came on time but the delivery was horrible. The delivery men took the box of cases and threw them over my five foot wall and broke about a dozen cases in all three boxes of cases.

I use them for wedding videography customers, when you stuff them with a label and disc they are fine, but can be a little flimsy when closing them or locking in the disc, but for current state of the video market, saving money doesn't hurt.

These are nice cases for holding one DVD and have the full wrap around plastic cover for a paper insert underneath. The weakness is the clasp mechanism for keeping the case closed. THe case pops open very easily and isn't that tight for keeping out dust.

These DVD Cases are not the heavy duty cases, and the clips on some of them are broke and make it so the case won't close. However, for the most part, they do the job that they are designed for. This is the 2nd time buying them, and out of the 200, I had to throw away about 20 of them due to broken clips.

This company used to ship these cases in a double box with padding to protect them, however now they just send them in their box, which results in the customer paying for the product, paying for shipping and getting cases that they cannot use because they are broken during shipping

This was my second purchase of this product. My first purchase included a number of cases which were damaged. I could have gone with another vendor, but I chose to give Supermedia Store a second chance. I'm happy with the quality of these cases. The cases were tightly packed in styrofoam packing peanuts and I've yet to find any damaged cases.

I was happy with the price and the delivery speed - but the QUALITY is less than good! I ordered 200 cases and 25 were damaged - the bases were cracked and some of them were totally crushed! Purchased this product and received it within a few days. My only problem with the product was that some of the cases were damaged (corners were busted)maybe during transit so I called customer service and was refunded immediately for the damaged goods. My wife has hundreds of DVD's recorded with movies , but they are on a spindle and we have to go though the whole spindle to find a particular movie, now we have filled all 100 cases with movies and I will be ordering more since we have 2 more spindles to put in cases, now my only job now is to build a wall shelves to hold out vast collection .

I have purchased this product for the last time. The quality of the product I have been receiving when ordering these cases has been getting worse and worse. I called customer service last time and was told the change was an effort to provide a better product. The change was obviously a change for them to save on their cost and pass the cheapness on to us. These cases are more brittle and the smell is just unacceptable. There are other places to purchase these products and I will be using those places from this point on. What a shame too. I have purchased a great deal of product here in the past couple of years but these are unacceptable.

The black DVD cases are functional. The problem is that they stink! I have been airing them for two weeks now but the strong chemical smell is not going away. One cannot bring the case indoors because of the awfull smell. I would not purchase them again.

Let me start by saying, they smell like burnt plastic. Yuck! They also seem to be thinner and weaker than the last ones I got from supermediastore.com. The clear plastic is not all that clear and feels flimsy. But I guess they get the job done.

This is the first time I have ordered DVD cases from SMS; in that I have just started to use these cases, it is hard to fully compare them to the ones I have been buying from another supplier for the last 10 or 12 years.
These do not seem to have the rigidity of the other cases I have been using, and on first opening to insert labels, the spine/hinge seems to be rather fragile but I will reserve judgement until several have been "tested" by my customers.
Regardless, the price is better and you can't beat free shipping!
My only concern, other than the quality "feel" of the hinge, is whether I will be able to get the same case every time I order. I have many repeat customers and I can't afford to have the "feel" and "look" of the case change from one batch to another. Reading reviews before I bought, I found several that mentioned inconsistent quality between repeat orders of the same item. If that happens, I will most certainly go back to the other supplier because of the overall consistancy of the product I have been receiving for all these years.
So, we will see.

Do not understand the inconsistancy of this product!

My dilema is this: I order these dvd cases 100 at a time and each time I order the same thing I ordered previously but the product fluctuates in what I actually receive each time. For the previous two orders I was very happy with the quality. However, the latest box of 100 is not as good as the previous orders. This shipment of DVD cases contains a flimsier (is that a word?) more brittle product and the cases have a very pungent odor. Shouldn't I be getting the same thing everytime I order these??????

I ordered these to finish my DVDs for my clients. They did not meet my expectations. Aside from the 15 or so that were damaged in shipping, almost every case is EXTREMELY flimsy, and many of the spines will break just by opening the case itself. Even holding it sends the impression that these are incredibly cheap, which negates the good price. If you are under the assumption that these will double for the DVD cases the whole world is used to (durability, feel, look), check elsewhere. Unless you like shattered pieces of tiny black plastic all over your floor because you hulked out and decided to open one of the cases you just bought.

These cases are fine for home use. The sleeves are easy to put covers in, they close firmly and hold DVDs in place well. In a box of 100 I did not have a single case that was warped or twisted. They aren't commercial quality, being a bit brittle, but for the price are perfect for me. I expect that they will hold up fine for my personal collection. I liked them enough to purchases more.

I have bought DVD cases from Supermedia before and been totally satisfied. This "black friday" deal was a great disappointment when I started using them.
1 in 5 were good. But the rest the back breaks if you open them all the way and the tabs that keep it closed snap off after first open!
I will not recommend this item and am now concerned about buying cases from here in the future.

The only (minor) problem I have with the product is that there is some residual "make up " material, i.e., the residue from the pressing/cutting/assembly process floating around in the product. Other than that, the product is great.

This product is decent. If you need high-quality cases, I would not go with these, but if you can deal with average quality, they work great. WARNING! If you purchased these boxes prior to October 2010 and were happy with them, don't order any more. Supermedia had changed venders for this item and the ones they are shipping now are cheap quality in comparison to what was being shipped before. I bought these on sale - 18.99 for 100 was too good to pass up. They weren't as brittle as the batch I purchased before but they are flimsy. They have a "used" feeling and the plastic film to hold the paper wrap doesn't seem clear. None of them arrived broken. They were packaged nicely within another box full of packing peanuts with the few other items I ordered. I noticed it has some very sharp edges inside the binder edge, so take care not to scratch yourself. Great price for the quality. However from now on I will spend a little more and offer my customers a better quality, sturdier, case.

I have bought both these ones and the premium version which are made from new plastic rather than recycled plastic like these ones.
The structure is a little bit different. The premiums are very slightly more thicker plastic and more solid feeling. The grasping mechanism is not the same, but both work well and are not the tongs of death present on some hollywood DVDs that seem designed to crack the DVD hole. I have been buying with you for a long time (before you had email based accounts for buyers).
The DVD covers that came were packed so bad two boxes had to be returned immediately. The brown cardboard boxes were open (12 to 14 inch ) on both edges towards the bottom and the discs wre hanging out from both the boxes.
Two weeeks ago I purchased similar disc (200) covers and they were packed very well. No problem there.
The newere discs - the one I returned - half of them even do not close at one end (the DVD cover remains open and does not click close. It does on one end.

These are not professional quality cases. I'v had to throw away 20% due to damage. I have customers calling me complaining that the cases are falling apart. I'm a business and I cannot have this. I will not be ordering these again. I should have returned them but I needed to make my deliveries. Big mistake. I will go back to my old supplier.

If your delivery shows up in cube shaped boxes(Part #D14SDblk), don't even bother to open them. At least half will have either have damaged cover membranes, broken closure clips or won't hold the disk in place.
If your delivery is in rectangular boxes and produced by Linkyo(Part #AC0010056) you at least have a chance of using 90% of the case. You will still have some occasional damage, but nothing like the stuff they import for resale. Make sure you are getting the LINKYO produced cases.

These cases arrived damaged. Not one or two, but about 30% of the 200 cases I ordered. Ok, probably the shipping. Nope, as I inspected the cases they just crumbled under my fingers! Open and close the cases more that 5 times and they will split down the center. Absolute garbage. I can't believe they would sell something like that.
Definitely not appropriate for professional use and not even worth it for personal storage. The worst purchase I have ever made online.

I received these cases within a week using the standard free shipping, although the box was left outside my house w/o getting a signature (I can't really fault SMS for UPS's carelessness).
The box had zero padding on the inside, but most of the cases appeared to be in good shape. There were 4-5 that had broken latches, and it made me wonder how long the others would last. The working ones, though, appeared to be made of a flimisier plastic, but they worked well enough for me to open each one, insert a case cover, disc, and shut it without issue.
Overall, these aren't the worst cases I've seen, and for a bulk pack, you can't go wrong if you can deal with a couple of broken cases her and there. I just wish a little more care was taken in packaging the item, though.

My beef with this product was alway the flimsy, thin plastic sheet on the outside that holds the DVD insert. They use to scratch easy, and tear at the corners with the slightest tug during the insertion of the insert. They seem to have solved the problem, though. Because the last couple times I've ordered them, the product has been top quality, with none that I have to toss because of sub-standard quality. Will definitely continue to buy.

I have been buying these same cases for years with no problems at all. I've always been happy with the quality. However, upon receiving my last order, I found that Supermediastore had apparently changed manufacturers without notifying the customer. The new case is much thinner, cheap and poorly made.
When I contacted customer service (fully expecting that the wrong case had been shipped), I found out about the switch. I was then abruptly told that I would have to pay to send these back and then order a "premium" case to get the quality I was used to. I have had to change my vendor for DVD cases because of this. Unacceptable in my opinion.

These 14mm cases have been purchased by me at numerous times in the last few years. I have generally been pleased with them. However, the last order had over 20% complete scrap! The plastic was brittle and broken (not from shipping, but rather seems to be quality rejects sent by error by the vendor. Also, the plastic clasps did not let the case stay closed. The clear plastic sleeve where the graphic insert goes was not heat sealed properly, and flopped in an unusable fashion.
So, the variety of rejectable problems makes me believe that they were quality rejects by the vendor that got mixed with good product.
I have not experienced such bad quality before.

It feels and looks like Saran wrap and also tears off of the case just as easy.

The cases were the perfect size I needed and had all of the necessary functions, but the first 5 cases broke. Case 1 was cracked all the way down one side. Case 2, 3, 4, and 5 all had the latch to keep the case closed break when I opened and closed them. Case 6, 7, and 8 seemed fine, so I'm keeping them. Next time, I need to find 14mm dvd cases that are better built.

The cases are all good quality. There is no smell, they open and close properly, hold the disk properly, and the clips for the insert are just right. The only reason they aren't 5 star in all the categories is because really expensive custom cases I've seen are better, like the ones Digital Juice uses in their products. But when it comes to being cost effective, they can't be beaten. They are at the sweet spot on the quality vs. cost curve.

Can't beat the price at about 25 cents each, but next time I will spend more for a better (perceived) quality case. These are pretty thin and feel kinda flimsey, tho I only had one break. The front cover tends to bow inward, so that the insert cards on inside front won't lie perfectly flat.
The packaging from SuperMedia was fine...no problems in shipping at all.
I use the Taiyo Yuden Water Shield DVD's...which are a good example of spending more and getting a fantastic product...well worth the extra cost.

Overall for the price the quality of the cases are good. However ,y complaint is that because they are bulk packed (not necessarily a bad thing, less waste) the box is inadequate for protecting the cases from damade. I ordered 4 boxes of these cases. One of the boxes was partially crushed and had been retaped. None of the cases seemms to be damaged however all 100 cases in the box are covered with dust, etc. The cases themselves are very good quality.

The price for these cases was very good infact best I have ever found. Only issue I have is that so far almost one quarter of the cases have bad clips (18 to current count). However for the price and the amount you are getting you should expect a good number of them to have defects after all that is what bulk buying is all about. Overall I am satisfied just wish there were less defective cases. I recommend this package to those seeking dvd cases for good price.

as others have stated, they have not been in the best shipping boxes in the past, but this was never supermediastores problem. Anyways, these ones were far better quality than I expected. The shipping box was still in good condition when it arrived and our of 400 cases only 1 was broken...amazing

I have no issue whatsoever with the DVD cases that I have received that are intact. My problem with this product lies in the fact that they are shipped in a box with no protection whatsoever and it results in quite a few damaged pieces. I have received 2 shipments of 100 DVD cases with an average damage of 16.5 cases per shipment. The shipping company will accept no responsibility for the damage because of the way the cases are packaged. I have received credit for the damaged cases but I would rather receive my product intact. Normally when I order 100 DVD cases I need 100 DVD cases and not 84.

When I first noticed these online, my first impression was that I was getting a great deal. Little did I know that for the price, 1 out of 5 DVD cases didn't close because of the tabs inside breaking off. I'm not happy with this and do not plan on purchasing any more of the product. They are very cheaply made and the company should consider taking them off their sales list. I'm sure this is not the only complaint that has been given regarding these cases. I'm very disapointed.

Standard cases are ok buy on sale because 5% to 15% percent of the case come cracked some still ok for home use if you don't mind cracks on spines.Watch for premium cases when on special a little more money but very few if any cracked spines . Over all a very decent product for home use.

The cases are great. Have bought them in the past and a few would be broken. This time all were in perfect condition. Maybe they were packed better or UPS was more careful. Only complaint i had was UPS couldn't find my address and i had to go and pick them up from UPS hub after waiting around all day for delivery. I will be buying more from Super Media Store.

thii an excellent quality product, the only problem which has nothing to do with the product itself, is that when i get them, there are always 10 or more cases that are smashed and broken. An item like this needs to be shipped with the correct packaging and bubble material.

I was not happy with this item, it came in a box with now packageing to protect the cases and 15 of them were cracked and broken and all 100 were scratched from being against each other in the box. I returned them.
