Galaxy 3500 IPTV DMG Digital Media Gateway Divx Player The "IPTV" Digital Media Gateway is connected to your local network using a standard Ethernet or wireless(optional kit) connection, enabling you to access and broadcast content from any computer on your network as well as any attached USB drive. Combined with its abilitiy to access streaming content from the internet such as webradio, podcast and IPTV directly without the need of a computer, you have the ideal home theater, playing your favorite media from the comfort of your living room.
If you want to connect other peripherals, simply plug them in to the USB interface. Add your storage drive or MP3 (Ipod...etc.) player directly to the IPTV and listen to your favorite music or watch a slide show of your latest photos. There are 3 different kinds of network modes:

UPnP devices
To access a Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) device, all you need to do is connect it to the same local network as your IPTV-DMG. Turn on the UPnP enabled NAS or Windows Media Connect as an example, then turn on the IPTV-DMG. On boot up, it will automatically connect to the network and list any compatible devices. Once mounted, you can access it from the main screen.
For UPnP servers such as Windows Media Connect or other applications, make sure your firewall is setup properly; otherwise IPTV-DMG will not recognise the device.
Media Server
To use this mode, you need to install the included "myiHome" application or Windows Media Connect on your computer. Connect the computer to the same network as your IPTV-DMG, start the application and you will be able to access your shared files from the computer directly on your IPTV-DMG.
To connect the IPTV-DMG to your computer without a local network, use a cross over Ethernet cable.
Store your movies on an external USB hard drive, external USB DVD Burner, USB flash pen drive ...etc, use the IPTV from Galaxy Metal Gear Box and enjoy your personal movies, music and photos on the big screen. IPTV supports all popular video formats, including MPEG-1 (MPG, DAT, M1V), MPEG-2 (MPG, VOB, M2V), MPEG-4 (AVI, XviD, MOV, MP4) and even high quality WMV9!
Plug in your USB MP3 (Ipod...etc) player or a standard USB memory stick with your music on it and listen to it through the TV speakers or your home audio system. Playback with detailed file information, supporting WAV, MP3, MPEG-4 (AAC), WMA, ASF, OGG and AC3 files.
Access shared folders on your computer through IPTV with the use of your local network connection. No need to burn a DVD first: simply share your music, movie or photo files and browse through them without leaving your favorite armchair! Installation of MyHome or Windows Media Connect required.
