The good news about CD-R media that (at the moment) you can record them quicker than DVD-R media. At their maximum speed of 52x, you can burn a CD in 90 seconds. So if recording speed is important to you, and you also don't mind the 700MB/80min disc capacity; then burn your music, video, and data on blank CDs. Remember, a regular CD-ROM (Read Only Memory) drive will not be able to write information on a blank CD. You will need a CD-Recordable drive to "burn" your music, video, or data onto a disc. Please visit our CD, DVD, and Blu-ray Recorders page to see products we currently offer. While it may seem CD-Rs may be old and outdated with the advent of DVD media, but for burning audio, it's still the media of choice, offering the greatest compatibility across all disc players
