About Blank Recordable DVD+R Media
The DVD+R media format was developed by the corporations of the DVD+RW Alliance. The blank recordable DVD+R format is distinct from the DVD-R media format because it has advanced editing and operational capabilities. Most modern DVD players and DVD drives are hybrids, capable of playing and/or recording both DVD-R and DVD+R media. With a DVD+R capable player, you can take advantage of the DVD+R double layer technology, in which you can read 8.5 GB on a single sided DVD+R DL disc. Burning a DVD+R DL disc, however, requires a DVD+R DL media compatible burner. See our DVD+RW writers for more.
