Jagged CD DVD Multi-Bladed Tool

Our web series, eScape, is about kids trapped in a video game. They encounter real-life situations and have to find their way out using clever spins on modern tech. For instance, they build oars out of torn shirts and books attached to branches.
In this instance, they are using CD-R's as blades on their weapons. We had to come up with a kid-friendly way to show that one of the tribes of kids were menacing and dangerous, but without actually having guns or swords. So we used jagged broken CD's. Later instances will feature CD-R throwing-stars, and one kid uses the backside as a mirror to spy around corners as he sneaks around. We even used a sandpapered plastic insert of a CD-R cakebox as the ground glass in a homemade Depth-of-Field mount for one of our earlier scenes.
The depicted scenes show the use of the CD-R as an inventive multi-bladed tool.
